Checked, adjusted, and connected. What does it mean? How it is done? What are the results?
Checked
“Let’s get you checked.” If you have been to the office you have likely heard me say this. Of course, before you get checked you have to go through our history, exam, spinal scans, and possible x-rays. Getting checked is super important. Getting checked means looking to the spine for the areas of subluxation. It means every time you come we will check you because the body is dynamic, it’s ever changing, and the check may show something different than the last visit. This is the analyzing portion of the visit.
Adjusted
“We’re going to adjust you today.” After we check the spine for subluxations we will address it by getting you adjusted. Based on the check we did you may get no adjustments or you may get 5 that day. I see this as the beauty of Chiropractic. Being able to apply the art of the adjustment when needed and knowing when it is not needed is powerful. Getting adjusted is the action portion of the visit.
Connected
This is what it’s all about! Connecting the brain to the body through the Chiropractic adjustment. Your body is made to be healthy. In order for it to be healthy your brain and body have to be communicating with each other at their greatest potential. You may have heard me say that Chiropractic is the foundation to your health. The reason I say this is because your nervous system is the master control system of the body. When it is healthy, you are healthy. Health is tricky to define, but check this out!
All 3 of these are very important. Understanding and performing re-exams and re-scans gives us the insight we both need to make sure you are healing and getting the results you want!
